hi I just started your 4 wk scramble 2 wks ago and I was wondering if its normal that in those weeks your scale will go up. I took ur advice and dont really depend on the scale but I got on it 2 wks after I stated and it went up in wt. Also, b/c I work out alot with heavy wts I decided to do the scramble with resistance tubes and no wts. is this okay? I wanted a little change and I want to see through progress by noting hitting it so hard. laslty, what is ur feeling about homemade chx soup with all organic ingred. and low sodiom broth??????????? Thanks for all ur help...I feel great and just hope I succeed this time.

Let's start with the chicken soup. I want some! Yes, chicken soup made with white meat chicken breast, an assortment of vegetables, and low sodium broth is wonderful, and you can even add in some boiled brown rice to make it a complete meal. OK, on to the scramble. I'd encourage most people, when doing the complete Four Week Scramble, to use dumbbells. You can use tubing / bands, and of course your muscles will be challenged, but because dumbbells move through space and shift your center of gravity you'll get more muscle stimulation. There are advantages to both, so since you've already started, stay on course. As far as your weight going up . . . if you're clothes haven't gotten tighter, the weight increase is likely a result of greater glycogen (fuel) storage in muscle. That's part of the reason I beg people seeking fat loss not to weigh themselves early on. Glycogen held in muscle tissue attracts water, thus the scale becomes unreliable as a tool for judging fat loss. Keep an eye on your reflection and the way your clothes fit. It would be difficult to follow the program and gain fat, so don't fear the increase . . . and stay off the scale!!!!!
